From its inception in 1958, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has been devoted to researching, educating and enhancing life here on Earth.

In support of those ideals, NASA has tapped into American manufacturers to help pioneer custom-made tools for specific projects.  In the early 1960’s, NASA commissioned Case to create a specialized knife to their exact specifications that would ultimately be equipped on every U.S. Manned Gemini and Apollo space flight missions.
